I recently stayed at a Ryokan in Japan that was a great value for money. The rooms were kept very clean and the futons were really comfortable. The location was also very convenient, easy to reach by taxi and close to a bus terminal, making it easy to get around and explore the area. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious food they served us during our meals.
There were a couple of things that I didn't like. Firstly, the staff could have been a bit more friendly and helpful. Secondly, the dinner on the second night wasn't as good as the first and some dishes were way too salty. Finally, there wasn't much to do entertainment-wise in the Ryokan.

We had a great time staying here! the staff were so friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the beautiful ocean view from our room. the private bath was clean and relaxing, and there were nice facilities like a pingpong table and vending machines. Plus, the location was convenient for exploring the nearby onsen spots and getting to the bus stop.
Although some of the facilities were a bit old, it didn't detract from our overall positive experience.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The view of the ocean from my room was lovely, and the private onsen was a fantastic feature. The staff was friendly and helped me with my questions. The location was convenient, with a sushi restaurant nearby and easy access to Beppu's onsen spots by foot.

Delicious food, relaxing onsens, helpful English-speaking staff, clean rooms with comfortable futons, convenient location for sightseeing.
